Who is Edmond from Honor's Splendour and what is their importance?

Edmond is Duncan's brother and is none to happy that Madelyne has been brought into their home. Soon after, Edmond is summoned to assist with Madelyne's medical needs and he sews up her torn leg. When Edmund later sees the positive effect that Madelyne has on Adela, he becomes her staunchest ally.
