Who is Joseph Popp from Hitler and what is their importance?

Joseph Popp was the man who owned the apartment building where Hitler and Hausler lived in Munich. Although Hitler apparently forged no lasting friendship with Popp, he wrote a letter to Popp from the front lines of fighting soon after his induction into the Bavarian military.
