Who is Sulgenius from The History of the Kings of Britain and what is their importance?

Sulgenius is a leader of Briton forces, heading the men who oppose who Severus. He purposefully allies himself with the Picts to gain an advantage over Severus. Ultimately, he kills Severus in battle. Sulgenius, however, is mortally wounded at the same time.
