How did the Shepherd rebuke Much-Afraid after her first encounter with Pride on the trail?

The Shepherd gently, but firmly told her Much-Afraid should not have allowed Pride to get so close and take her hands. He told her if she had been holding the hands of Sorrow and Suffering it could not have happened.
