Who is Morton Redlow from Hideaway and what is their importance?

Dr. Nyebern hires Redlow, who is a private investigator, to find Jeremy. Unfortunately, he is discovered during the course of the investigation and becomes one of Jeremy's victims. Nyebern discovers Redlow's head in his freezer.
