What is the significance of Saint Crispin's day?

Saint Crispin's day is the feast day of the battle of Agincourt. Henry frequently refers to this fact as he is rallying his men for battle and tells them that soldiers who survive the battle will tell future generations about their brave exploits on the anniversary of that day.
