What is the author's style in Heist Society by Ally Carter?

The language and meaning used throughout Heist Society by Ally Carter reflects on the times in a number of ways. It is clear that the people in the stories live in modern times, since they speak of particular events and fashions of the time as well as many high tech gadgets such as security systems, surveillance systems and other computerized instruments that help the group complete the jobs at hand. Carter does not use a great deal of slang or any language that would date the work in a negative way.
