Husband's Wedding Day is significant to the narrator in Section 15 because she attends with Inder Lal's mother and relaxes in the company of these women. It appears to be the first time that she truly fits into her surroundings. It's also notable that although she never actually sees the shrine or actively seeks fertility, that the mood is so festive. Most of the women she attends with are past child rearing age. The event and location serve to tie her to Olivia and the woman's unfinished story.
