Explain what happens to Olivia after her abortion.

After Olivia's abortion, she leaves the hospital in Satipur and goes directly to the palace. She never returns to Douglas. Instead, she lives out her life in a house of the Nawab's on a mountainside. Her ashes, per her request, are scattered there after her death.
