In Section 32 the seasonal changes relate to the constant changes in the life of Olivia. The dry and dusty landscape has been replaced with monsoons that bring coolness and growth. Water drips from plants formerly barren. Olivia, who desired to have a baby, is not barren but is growing a new life inside her. Strangely enough, her desire to carry this life is gone and she wants to return to her childless state.
