Who is Shigeo Sakagawa from Hawaii and what is their importance?

Shigeo is Kamejiro and Yuriko's son. He is promoted to captain in the army during World War II, after serving in the 222nd in Italy. He is later assigned to the occupation in Japan. After returning to Hawaii, Shigeo runs for the Senate, as soon as it is legal to do so.
