Who is Thaddeus "Red" Beaumont from Haunted: A Tale of the Mediator and what is their importance?

Thaddeus "Red" Beaumont is Tad's father. He is very wealthy and the owner of one of the biggest land development companies in northern California. Susannah also discovers that Red thinks he is a vampire. It turns out that his brother, Marcus, has been giving him hallucinogenic drugs that are making Red think he's a vampire.
