What is Cupboard Under the Stairs?

The Cupboard Under the Stairs is Harry's home at the Dursley's house. They force him to sleep in the small compartment while Dudley is given two full bedrooms. Only when Harry's magic seems to pose a threat to the family, do they let him sleep in a bed outside the cupboard.
