What is the author's tone in Happy Endings by Margaret Atwood?

The other point of view that Atwood employs is a second-person point of view in which she talks directly to the reader. This is the point of view that both introduces the story ("If you want a happy ending, try A.") and ends it. However, by the conclusion of "Happy Endings," the shift in tone is more important than the shift in point of view.
