Hamlet wants to know why they have all of a sudden come to Denmark. Hamlet suspects it is because the King and Queen have sent for them to spy on Hamlet. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are trying not to divulge that they indeed have been sent by king and queen. Hamlet is pretty straight forward with them and not acting mad.
