Who is Megan in the book, Half a Chance: A Novel?

Megan is a local girl who has been lifelong friends with Nate. Megan is jealous of Nate’s quick friendship with Lucy, so Megan does mean things to Lucy throughout much of the novel – such as deleting Lucy’s pictures of the loons. However, Megan comes around and helps Lucy, Nate, and Emily make signs to warn people about getting too close to the island of loons.
