What effect did Miranda’s death have on Felix?

Felix was traumatized by his three-year-old daughter Miranda’s death. He did not, however, allow himself to grieve for long before he threw himself into a production of the Tempest at the Makeshiweg Theatre Festival. He wanted his production to be “like the Taj Mahal, an ornate mausoleum raised in honor of a beloved shade” (17).
