What did Felix occupy his time with, after he moved away from the Makeshiweg Theatre Festival?

Felix spent a little time making his hovel into a place he could live in, and he ran electricity and furnished the place. When that did not occupy him enough, he went to the library, thinking he would read the Russian classics like Anna Karenina, but ended up with children’s books like Anne of Green Gables and Peter Pan. He then fell back on creating errands for himself, and going to Wilmot to buy random things at the hardware store.
