Who is Stuart as noted as noted in the memoir, H is for Hawk?

Stuart is one of Helen’s friends, and in her words, a Goshawk expert. He frequently helps her train Mabel and addresses any problems that Helen might be having. It’s with his help that Helen is able to get Mabel to return to her while she’s flying free. Stuart is incredibly patient with both his birds and with Helen. He and Mandy form a strong bond that allows Helen to slowly deal with her grief constructively.
