What are some examples of foreshadowing in the novel, Gym Candy?

In Part II, Mick's friendship with Drew continues, as the two of them become more than simple football teammates. This friendship will prove especially important in coming chapters. Meanwhile, another incident of note occurs, in that Mick's father receives a new job with better pay and better benefits. This will also prove to be crucial in the next few months.
