What does Gulliver learn from his first impressions, in Part 2, Chapter 1, when he encounters the giants?

Gulliver originally thinks that the giants may eat him, simply because they are bigger than he is. He learns through the hospitality of the giants that that isn't the case. That proves two things to him. The first is that bigger doesn't mean meaner, and the second is that first impressions can be deceiving.
