What does the Nightmare do to Karrin Murphy, in Chapter 19?

Harry calls Karrin, only to find out that the Nightmare called her earlier, impersonating him, and was probably already with her. When Harry arrives, he finds that the Nightmare has its fingers in Karrin's temples and is showing her horrifying mental images. She stares blankly with a terrified expression, screaming soundlessly.
