What does Harry discover about Susan?

Harry hears a noise in the corner of the room where he and Justine are imprisoned, and despite Justine's warnings, goes to investigate. He finds Susan, in the process of transforming into a vampire. Her eyes are completely black and she complains that she is extremely thirsty.
