Who was Ric Elliot? Why did Fossey choose him to work at the camp?

Ric Elliot was an English student and one of many that applied to work with Fossey. Fossey chose Elliot as a student worker because his application had the word "I" in it only a few times. Fossey's hunch proved true. Elliot became a valuable asset, spending a great deal of time working at autopsies and conducting parasite studies.
