Ian Redmond was another British student that arrived at the camp a year after Ric Elliot. Redmond took over Elliot's previous work, including the parasitology studies. Redmond also helped Fossey with anti-poacher patrols and other tasks. Redmond was the sort that made himself very accessible to all, which made him a hit with the natives.
