Discuss Poppy's near brush with death. What happened? Who/what saved Poppy?

Poppy was constantly squabbling with the other infants, which drove many of the gorillas crazy. One day Poppy got her head caught in the crotch of a tree, leaving her to dangle perilously and threatening to cut off the baby's air or break her neck. Effie immediately ran to Poppy's side and attempted to free her. Fossey notes that it was extremely difficult for the humans to stand by and watch but that interference would have made the situation much worse, possibly jeopardizing Poppy's life. Poppy was wrenched free and was fine.
