What convinces Ghost to try to run against Lu?

Ghost is frustrated by his lack of renown, when he knows that he is fast. He is also frustrated by his vulnerability at the hands of Brandon, the bully. He is irritated that people like Lu can post untouchable times, and not be beaten. He wants to make a name for himself, and he wants to push the cocky kids out of the spotlight.
