Think of two obstacles Ghost has in his life.

One obstacle that Ghost (Castle) must overcome is the trauma of his childhood, specifcally, the event in which his father shoots at both Ghost and his mother in a drunken stupor. As a result of this incident, Ghost must also struggle with the loss of his father, who is now in prison.

Ghost must also overcome his personal issues, which are centered around the anger that he is unable to effectively manage. Ghost's anger issues contribute to his poor grades and inability to properly interact with his classmates.
