How realistic do you think it was that his mother quickly gave into Bryant when he said he wanted to go
In my opinion, I think that after Brian's ordeal in the wilderness, his mother allows him to be the best judge and make up his own mind. Brian survived alone for fifty-four days..... fifty-four days in which his mother believed her son to be lost. No matter his age, he will never be the same boy who was once dependent upon her.
