In Frightful's Mountain, Frightful's time with Sam goes against nature, though in the case, it is a necessary intervention that allows Frightful to survive. Thankfully, Sam acknowledges her wild nature and instincts, traits that are far more powerful than any other. Frightful's greatest challenges are fought as a result of her closeness to Sam, who she sees as family.

Later, Frightful is electrocuted on a utility pole, a manmade technology that poses a direct threat to wildlife.

The Delhi Bridge also affects the natural world, though in this case, it is because Frightful's nesting place just happens to be under contruction.
