In "The Fiend of Athens," what happens when Walter delivers a speech?help

Walter goes off the rails when he delivers a speech at the opening of a body-armor plant. Instead of issuing a welcoming address, he instead rails against humanity and calls it a cancer on the planet. Walter is fired as a result.
