Walter is very attracted to Lalitha, but he denies his attraction, as he is still married to Patty. Even though his marriage to Patty is in a bad state, Walter remains loyal to her. When Walter and Lalitha celebrate the success of their environmental project, Lalitha drinks too much and flirts with him. Walter is so torn between his desire for Lalitha and his loyalty to Patty that he weeps. However, when Lalitha kisses him the following morning, he kisses her back.
