Writing a fiction story about Freedom and also poetry's , can I get an idea on it

The first thing you will need to do is decide on the premise of "freedom" that you wish to write about. Freedom has meant different things to different people over the centuries... are you looking to present an historical story? Do you have a time period or historical event in mind? Would you rather concentrate on what freedom means to you? Personal experience? Current events?
