How does Kevin seem to feel as Max pulls him over to his room for the first time?

Kevin, while riding in the Radio Flyer wagon, seems to be very happy. Max describes Kevin as "happy as can be" as he pulls him over to his house. Max states that Kevin looks as if he is enjoying the ride, and Kevin is not embarrassed at all.
