Huey Long was a senator from Louisiana. He had supported Roosevelt at the convention in 1932, yet he was not trusted by the president, who had described him as one of the two most dangerous men in the country. Long split with Roosevelt a month after the inauguration. He disagreed with the New Deal programs.
