Frankenstein
In what ways does the novel draw from the movement of romanticism? With that what is the role/importance of nature in the novel?

One of the key aspects of the romantic movement was the pursuit of esoteric and philosophic questions. Frankenstein has that in abundance. For example, the question of 'what is life?' What role should technology play in relation to mankind?
Additionally, there are the Gothic elements of mood/tone, the supernatural, and violence.
