In 'My Life,' the poet claims to have lived a very strange life. Some of the things he says are possible but unlikely, such as his father realizing he married the wrong sister and his mother having a sex change. Other things are impossible, such as his wife liquefying because of a haunted dishwasher. He seems to be talking to another person while having drinks. At one stage he mentions a lot of different drinks, so it is possible that he is very drunk. He might also be encouraged to embellish and exaggerate his stories to impress his listeners. It seems likely that there is some truth in his stories, but that he has exaggerated them a lot and added fantastical elements for interest, or because he is drunk.
