Amelia is traveling to be a governess for Lord Falconmere's children when she is thrown out of the coach by the coach-driver. He leaves her out in the middle of nowhere, and she is afraid of the woods. She runs to a house, where she sees a light in the window. A butler lets her in and tells her that she has a birthright. However, the butler is killed after he explains everything to her. She is also chased by ghouls, and saves herself by agreeing to give them brides. Finally, she is making toast for her husband and realizes that she no longer loves him.
