Forward the Foundation is told in smooth and flowing English. The dialogue is abundant and vivid. There are references to the dialect differences around the planet Trantor that figure so prominently in the previous novel, Prelude to Foundation, but these are at most passing, as when adopted son Raych Seldon is said to revert to the touch speech of the Billibotton slum whenever he returns from a visit.
