Forrest and the rest of the University of Alabama football team head to Miami for the Orange Bowl in Chapter 4. They play Nebraska; at the half, Coach Bryant tells Forrest it is time to fake Nebraska by passing to him. This only works a while before Nebraska catches on and flattens him. Nebraska ends up winning when Alabama's quarterback makes a stupid mistake.
