For whom does Retha's mother believe Anthony is looking?

Retha believes that the way Anthony looks at each new person to come to Blue Cove indicates that he is looking for someone. She is not sure if this person he believes will come is a friend or a foe, but does believe that Anthony is keeping an eye out for someone.
