What is the first memory that Charlie has after having the learning TV put in his room at night?

The first memory that Charlie has is about when he first asked Ms. Kinnian to teach him to read. He had bought a newspaper and brought it to her class, and asked her to help him figure out how to read it. He started attending her classes after that.
