What happens in the library between Garrett and Bryce?

Bryce takes the newspaper article out of his drawer and looks at the picture of Juli up in the sycamore. He accidentally leaves the article in his folder, and the next day Garrett spied it and teases him about carrying a picture of Juli around with him. In the library, Garrett makes some disparaging remarks about Juli and her family and about Uncle David. Garret said that he isn't surprised that Juli has a retarded uncle. Bryce actually feels like punching Garrett out but he thinks better of it since they are in the library.
