How does Juli end up selling eggs, and why does she give eggs to Mrs. Loski?

The chicks are all female and begin laying eggs. The family eats as much as they can but soon Juli is soon selling some to several neighbors. Juli gives eggs to Bryce because Mrs. Loski gives her a ride to school sometimes and had helps the family in other ways.
