Who is Dr. Richard Andrassy from First, Do No Harm and what is their importance?

Dr. Andrassy is the chief pediatric surgeon at Hermann's Hospital. Although, Andrassy does everything possible to help Patrick and fulfill his family's wishes, he believes also believes that Patrick should be allowed to die.
