Violet tells Titus that her feed is really malfunctioning, and that the technicians don't appear to be able to fix the problem. She received her feed late in life, and as a result, it is more susceptible to malfunction. They report that she could lose her ability to move, or speak, or even her life, as the feed is tied into the entire limbic system. In short, Violet will likely die as a result of her feed malfunction.
