Describe what Quendy has done to her body, and why.

Quendy has had a procedure done that creates small lesions all over her body. The process, called birching, creates small lenticels that cover the skin. She had the procedure as a retaliation to Calista's own procedure of having an artificial lesion placed on the back of her neck. Quendy likes Link, who is seeing Calista, so she is jealous.
