John Sidney McCain Junior, better known as Jack, entered the United States Naval Academy when he was sixteen-years-old. He had little regard for studying or following the rules, but over time became dedicated to a career as a submariner. After years of hard work, he became a four-star admiral, just like his father.
Jack is described as a devoted family man. He was a fair man, who never used his position to garner benefits unavailable to others. Proof of this trait is evidenced in his refusal to accept special favors while John was a prisoner of war in Vietnam. Jack found great strength and solace in God and spent long periods of time in prayer.
