Why does Woody doubt that Charlie is the prince they've all been waiting for in the book, Fairy Tale: A Novel?

When Woody learns that Charlie’s hair and eyes are brown, he does not think that Charlie can be the prince for which the people of the land have been waiting. Stereotypical fairy tale princes have blond hair and blue eyes.
