1 Sycamore Street is the plot of land on which Bowditch lives. He purchased this land in 1920 when he discovered what he calls the well of the worlds. Nearly 100 years later, Charlie becomes acquainted with Bowditch when he hears Radar howling because Bowditch fell off a ladder and broke his leg and hip. Bowditch wills his property to Charlie so that Charlie can protect the well and the world that exists beyond it.
